As an Event Production Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from the initial client brief through to successful delivery on site.

Working closely with clients, suppliers, and our technical teams, you'll ensure every event is planned meticulously and executed to the highest standard.

You'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing logistics, budgets, crew, equipment, and client expectations while remaining calm under pressure and finding practical solutions to challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage live, hybrid, and virtual events from enquiry through to completion.
  • Develop detailed production plans, schedules, equipment lists, and event documentation.
  • Liaise with clients to understand objectives and translate them into technical production solutions.
  • Prepare quotations and manage production budgets to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate internal departments, freelancers, venues, and suppliers.
  • Conduct venue site visits and technical surveys.
  • Produce risk assessments and method statements.
  • Plan crew schedules, logistics, transport, and installation programmes.
  • Oversee on-site build, rehearsals, live operation, and derig.
  • Manage staging, lighting, audio, video, LED, streaming, and event technology requirements.
  • Ensure events are delivered safely, professionally, on time, and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during live events.
  • Carry out post-event reviews to identify improvements and maintain high standards across future projects.

About You

You'll be an experienced event professional with a strong technical production background who enjoys taking ownership of projects and delivering exceptional client experiences.

You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, communicating with stakeholders at every level, and making informed decisions in fast-paced live environments.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within live event production or technical event management.
  • Strong understanding of professional AV, lighting, staging, video, and live event technologies.
  • Proven experience managing conferences, corporate events, exhibitions, awards, or hybrid productions.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience producing technical schedules, production documentation, and event timelines.
  • Strong budgeting, quotation, and cost management experience.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Experience managing freelance crews and suppliers.
  • Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience using Current RMS or similar hire management software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Town Hall, Zoom Events, v Mix, or other streaming platforms.
  • Experience creating CAD drawings or event layouts.
