Our client is a manufacturer of children’s play equipment, with their factory based in Alresford, just outside Colchester, Essex.
They do not mass-produce products – all items are made to order and selected by their clients from a wide range of popular and bespoke designs.
They are seeking a Trainee Fabricator/Welder who is eager to develop their skills further. The role would ideally suit an NVQ Level 2 student or someone with equivalent experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build and grow your fabrication and welding skills within a hands-on, full-time role at a company that values quality craftsmanship and individual development.

What will your role look like?
- MIG welding steel components (2mm–10mm thickness)
- Operating fabrication machines such as tube benders and saws
- Working from engineering and CAD drawings
- Assisting in the staging and production of custom play equipment
- Working under the guidance of the Company Engineer
- Following all company health and safety policies
What can you expect in return?
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 42.5 hours (Monday–Friday)
- 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
