What will your role look like?
- Deputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring a positive, person-centred environment
- Handle administration and provide weekly management reports
- Plan and oversee shifts, ensuring smooth operations
- Supervise staff, ensuring clarity on duties and care plans
- Support staff development through training, supervision, and guidance
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Conduct staff appraisals and address performance issues
- Manage budgets, finances, and attendance records
- Attend childcare reviews and planning meetings
- Engage in direct work with young people as a role model
- Maintain accurate records for monitoring and evaluation
Are you the right person for the job?
- You will ideally hold a QCF Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People, though those with a strong background in management and transferable skills will be considered on individual merit
- Ideally have prior experience working in a Children’s Residential Setting
- Possess strong leadership skills
- Have a Person-centred approach to create a safe, nurturing environment
- Be organised and proactive, capable of handling administration and shift planning
