This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accounting while gaining practical workplace experience. Whilst undertaking the Finance / Accounts Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will work towards the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, developing the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and maintaining the Purchase Ledger
- Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
- Supporting Credit Control activities, including contacting customers regarding outstanding invoices and maintaining accurate customer account records
- Posting and processing journal entries under supervision
- Providing general administrative support to the Finance team
- Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company financial procedures
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties required to support the Finance department
What We’re Looking For
- GCSE or equivalent Grade 9–4 Maths
- GCSE or equivalent Grade 9–4 English
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
