Our client is a family-run business seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager/ Maintenance Manager to oversee key in-house projects, including the redevelopment of existing buildings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building experience and project management.
- Proven experience in construction, refurbishment, and building project management
- Strong understanding of building processes and compliance standards
- Skilled in managing conversion projects from inception through to completion
- Ability to supervise subcontractors and coordinate in-house maintenance teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Competent with digital tools and apps for reporting, documentation, and photo/video updates
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (fuel card provided)
Reporting to the Owner & Managing Director, you will:
- Lead conversion and renovation projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to a high standard
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party suppliers and contractors to ensure project success
- Coordinate the in-house maintenance team with ongoing repairs and planned works
- Supervise grant-aided works delivered by sub-contractors
- Plan and schedule both reactive and preventative maintenance efficiently
- Develop clear project scopes and objectives for refurbishments and building works
- Manage resources and timelines to keep projects on track
- Monitor project performance, report progress to management, and proactively resolve issues
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health & safety regulations, building codes, and legal standards
- Thrive in a hands-on management role where problem-solving, organisation, and attention to detail are key
