Following a significant investment into its proprietary technology platform, the business is evolving into a technology-led fintech whilst maintaining an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven culture focused on long-term partnerships rather than transactional sales.

With the business currently tracking at approximately 55% year-on-year growth, they are looking to appoint experienced payments professionals across Business Development, Partner Management, and Corporate Sales.

The Opportunity

These are consultative, relationship-led B2B sales roles focused on developing and managing merchant relationships within the payments and acquiring space. You will work across sectors including ecommerce, FX, travel, gambling, and other complex or high-risk verticals, delivering tailored payment solutions to merchants with more sophisticated requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across merchant acquiring and payment solutions
  • Build long-term relationships with merchants, introducers, affiliates, and strategic partners

  • Identify weaknesses or inefficiencies within merchant payment setups and deliver tailored solutions
  • Work closely with internal teams and acquiring partners to structure complex deals
  • Develop a strategic pipeline within target sectors and verticals
  • Maintain strong ongoing client relationships to generate repeat and referral business
  • Represent the business at meetings, networking events, and industry functions
  • Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline management

About You

  • Proven B2B sales background within payments, merchant acquiring, fintech, card acquiring, gateways, FX, or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and consultative sales process
  • Experience selling into complex, international, or high-risk merchant environments highly desirable
  • Relationship-led and commercially credible approach to business development
  • Able to self-generate pipeline and build strategic relationships independently
  • Disciplined, self-motivated, and comfortable operating remotely with autonomy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable managing longer sales cycles and complex deal structures
  • UK-based and willing to travel nationally when required

Please note: candidates without direct payments, merchant acquiring, or closely related fintech experience are unlikely to be considered due to the specialist nature of the role.

What's on Offer

  • £50,000 - £80,000+ basic salary depending on experience and sector expertise
  • Uncapped recurring commission structure with significant long-term earning potential
  • Commission paid on ongoing revenue generated for the lifetime of merchant relationships whilst employed
