An exciting position has become available for a full‑time Store Person based at a growing engineering firm in Rochdale.
The successful candidate will earn £23,000 - £27,000 based on experience and benefit from 22 days' holiday, plus bank holidays, increasing 1 per year after 2 years to a maximum of 25.
Established in 1964, our client is family‑owned and managed.
The company designs, manufactures, installs and maintains a wide range of combustion equipment, digital control solutions and turnkey prefabricated, packaged boiler houses.
Their products and services are exported worldwide, and the company has won several of the Queen's Awards for Export and Innovation.

What will your role look like?
- Receiving deliveries - ensuring the correct paperwork has been submitted, goods received are of good quality, and the system is updated to acknowledge receipt
- Picking and packing of customer goods for despatch, ensuring shipments are ready on time and with the correct paperwork
- Organising stock within the facility (including stock control)
- Ensuring that stock is stored in a manner which allows quick access to items regularly used
- Use of a forklift. Previous experience is not essential, as appropriate training will be given
- Maintain a good standard of housekeeping within the stores, ensuring that the working environment is kept clear of waste on an ongoing basis, and report if problems arise that prevent waste from being cleared away
- Report and immediately deal with any spillages, hazardous and dangerous practices
- Work with the store's team to identify and resolve any issues relating to deliveries or shipments
- Ensure that all duties are undertaken in a safe and controlled manner
