They're seeking an enthusiastic Multiskilled Engineer to join their small team of eight, supporting the installation, commissioning and optimisation of membrane filtration systems across the UK and Ireland, primarily within the dairy industry.
The Role
As a Multiskilled Engineer, you'll play a central role in the installation, commissioning and optimisation of membrane filtration systems across the UK and Ireland. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while developing specialist expertise in membrane filtration technology. Beyond membrane systems, you'll also be involved in a wide range of dairy-processing operations, including milk, whey and cheese production. This hands-on and varied role offers the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge across multiple areas of dairy manufacturing while supporting customers in achieving efficient, reliable and compliant production processes. The role offers a varied mix of site work, technical problem-solving, customer support and project involvement, making it an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career within the dairy processing industry. You'll report directly to both Directors and will enjoy a combination of collaborative team working and independent, lone-working responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation, commissioning, and optimisation of dairy process projects and membrane filtration plants
- Drive growth in membrane element sales, spare parts, and service offerings, while providing high-quality aftersales support
- Investigate and assess existing plant performance, including CIP effectiveness, reliability issues, and operational efficiency, and provide practical, actionable solutions
- Identify and source spare parts and components across a wide range of manufacturers and equipment types
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of products and services
- Manage customer enquiries relating to membrane element supply and installation
- Carry out on-site installation and replacement of membrane elements
- Prepare health & safety documentation and method statements for site works
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding as required
- Support a range of dairy-processing operations, including milk, whey and cheese production
- Manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively across office and site-based work
- Complete permit-to-work documentation and risk assessments where required
Requirements
Essential
- Recognised engineering qualification, with an electrical and/or mechanical qualification
- Minimum five years' post-qualification engineering experience
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
- Basic PLC knowledge
- Experience working both as part of a team and independently
- Full experience with Microsoft Office and IT systems
