Working Hours: Full Time

Our client is an independent, UKAS-accredited asbestos testing laboratory based in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire. They have been operating since 2020, specialising in the identification of asbestos in bulk materials, air monitoring and four-stage clearances. They operate in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and HSG248: The Analyst's Guide, providing accurate, reliable and impartial analysis. With experienced BOHS-qualified analysts and a strong commitment to quality assurance, they have established a reputation for delivering dependable laboratory services. They are a close-knit, fast-growing team delivering asbestos bulk sampling analysis and asbestos analytical services to clients nationwide.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Asbestos Analyst to join their team. This is an all-field-based role, with the successful candidate based out of Mansfield Woodhouse and expected to attend the laboratory approximately once per month for QCs and other requirements. The role is 40 hours per week, at any time, with any hours worked over 40 hours paid at time and a half.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting asbestos analysis in line with HSG248 guidance
  • Producing clear, accurate air monitoring/four-stage clearance reports generated through Teams
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and advice
  • Supporting the procurement, management and assurance of asbestos workstreams
  • Collaborating with a supportive, professional team to deliver outstanding service
  • Liaising with asbestos removal contractors to ensure standards of work are completed in line with HSG248
  • Travelling across the UK as required, including overnight stays

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven track record in asbestos analysis
  • P403 and P404 qualifications or equivalent, including RSPH Level 3 Air Monitoring
  • Confident and professional with clients and colleagues
  • Willing to travel across the UK, including overnight stays when required
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Proficiency with Teams
