Mobile Plant Technician | Nationwide | Full Time | £40,950-£46,800 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to join our growing team, supporting customers across the construction, rail, and recycling sectors.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and machinery at customer sites, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults
- Respond to breakdowns and provide effective on-site repairs
- Complete all service reports and maintenance records accurately
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Liaise professionally with customers and site personnel
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and stock levels
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Plant Technician, Field Service Technician, or similar role
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable
- Relevant plant maintenance qualifications
- Rail industry experience (PTS)
- Experience with excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, loading shovels, crushers and screeners, material handlers, rail plant equipment, and recycling and waste processing machinery
