Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor - 2+ Years' PQE
Location: City of London
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: From Β£47,000 depending on PQE and experience

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor to join their City branch.

The successful candidate will have at least three years' post-qualification experience and be confident managing a varied commercial property caseload independently. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor to join an established and supportive firm and contribute to the continued growth of their commercial property practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing commercial property matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion
  • Acting on commercial freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
  • Advising landlords and tenants on the grant, renewal, assignment and surrender of commercial leases
  • Handling licences to assign, licences to alter, rent deposit deeds and deeds of variation
  • Acting on business purchases and sales involving commercial premises
  • Reviewing and reporting on title, leases, searches and other property documentation
  • Dealing with commercial property finance and secured lending matters where appropriate
  • Liaising effectively with clients, lenders, agents, surveyors and other solicitors
  • Managing Land Registry, SDLT and other post-completion requirements
  • Maintaining accurate files, time records and billing information
  • Supporting networking, client development and the growth of the department

Requirements

Essential

  • A minimum of two years' PQE as a solicitor in England and Wales
  • Commercial conveyancing experience
  • The ability to manage a caseload independently with appropriate supervision
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and title-investigation skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and practical problem-solving ability
  • Excellent client-care, communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • A proactive approach to networking and business development

Desirable

  • Turkish-language skills
  • Experience using Leap case management system
  • Familiarity with CQS and Lexcel accreditation standards would be advantageous, although training will be provided
  • An existing client following or potential to bring in new work
