Our client is a growing local construction business based in Coleford, and we are seeking a sharp, well-organised Admin Assistant to join their close-knit team. This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of day-to-day operations. The Role

Working 24 hours per week — typically structured across two full days and two half days — you will support both customers and field staff, keeping schedules on track, handling enquiries, and contributing to the continued growth of the business. You will work alongside the current Admin Assistant in a job-share arrangement, taking on increasing responsibility as you settle in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage work schedules, booking staff for customer jobs and coordinating diaries
  • Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally via phone and email
  • Support field staff in preparing quotations for customer approval
  • Source and purchase materials, tools, and equipment cost-effectively
  • Track project costs and allocate invoices to the relevant customer projects
  • Assist with general office administration, including vehicle administration, staff records, and equipment allocation
  • Support marketing activity by preparing content and gathering images for the website and social media channels

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Google applications, email, and the internet
  • Able to be assertive while remaining polite and professional at all times
  • Reliable, with references available upon request

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in scheduling or diary management
