They are now seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead their mechanical assembly and fitting operation in Burntwood. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader to take ownership of workshop performance, quality standards and team development.
Responsibilities- Leading and supervising a workshop team of 5 staff
- Coordinating daily workflow to maximise efficiency and productivity
- Liaising with the sales team to ensure smooth order processing
- Managing aftersales and ensuring returns are handled efficiently
- Maintaining quality standards and ensuring adherence to procedures, including documentation of issues
- Ensuring workshop equipment is inspected and maintained in line with schedules
- Overseeing health & safety compliance and promoting safe working practices
- Coaching, developing and supporting workshop staff
- Driving continuous improvement across processes and performance
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a mechanical fitting or workshop environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Counterbalance or pivot steer FLT licence
- NEBOSH qualification (or working towards)
- 28 days annual leave (inc. Bank Holidays)
