Camera Intelligence is building a new category-defining AI-powered professional camera called Caira that attaches to your smartphone and is built to streamline the production of creators and content businesses. By combining professional quality optics with AI-accelerated hardware and computational photography algorithms driven by AI, the team is offering a device more suited to a fast-paced content lifestyle. We recently raised a $2m from US investors such as Betaworks, Flybridge and F4 Fund, as well as UK investors such as Digital Catapult and 7percent ventures. We received international recognition having been covered by WIRED and Wallpaper magazine and was voted by TechRadar as one of the most exciting camera releases in the world.

The Role

Having shipped, Camera Intelligence is launching starting to ship to early backers and pre-order customers. As we’ve gone to market, Camera Intelligence content has recently gone viral. Our Instagram following has increased 8X since the beginning of 2024 and we have several Reels that have reached over 1 million views with one video hitting 10 million views. We’re seeking a creative and tech-savvy Junior Videographer and Editor to help spearhead the growth of our Camera Intelligence YouTube channel and other social media content. You’ll be responsible for strategising, producing, and editing captivating video content that showcases the camera’s unique features via how-to guides, inspires our audience, and drives significant subscriber and viewership growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • YouTube Content Strategy & Production:
    • Content Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive content calendar for the YouTube channel, aligning with brand objectives and audience interests.
    • Scriptwriting: Craft engaging and informative video scripts that highlight the Camera Intelligence's capabilities and user benefits.
    • On-Set Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO during video shoots, ensuring smooth production and capturing high-quality footage.
    • Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, visually appealing final videos, incorporating graphics, animations, and music to enhance storytelling.
    • Publishing & Optimisation: Upload and optimise videos for social, including writing compelling titles, descriptions, and tags for maximum reach.
  • Channel Growth & Engagement:
    • Audience Building: Implement strategies to attract new subscribers and increase viewership, including cross-promotion, collaborations, and community engagement.
    • Storytelling & Narrative: Create a cohesive story arc for the channel, weaving compelling narratives into videos that resonate with the target audience.
    • Analytics & Optimisation: Utilise YouTube analytics to track performance, gain insights into audience behaviour, and refine content strategy.
    • Trend Monitoring: Stay current on YouTube trends and algorithm changes to ensure content remains relevant and discoverable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Video Production Expertise: 2+ years of experience in video creation, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
  • Social Media Savvy: Deep understanding of social media platforms, best practices, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Creative Storytelling: Ability to craft compelling narratives and translate technical product features into relatable stories.
  • Editing Proficiency: Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro) with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, as well as basic graphic design skills.
  • Passion for Photography & Tech: A genuine interest in photography, videography, and emerging technologies.
