Cameo is recruiting for a Project Manager to join an established and innovative technology business based in Banbury on a full time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career within a software and technology environment, working on interesting customer projects with a real-world impact.
You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration and implementation projects - keeping everything moving, managing expectations and making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected standard.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Planning and coordinating projects from initiation through to delivery and customer sign-off
- Creating and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables
- Coordinating software development, configuration and implementation activity
- Working closely with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis and Professional Services teams
- Supporting Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
- Monitoring project progress, identifying blockers and keeping delivery on track
- Managing scope, change requests, risks, issues and dependencies
- Coordinating customer deployment activity, including testing, data migration and go-live
- Acting as a key day-to-day contact for customers and managing stakeholder expectations
- Running project meetings and providing clear updates on progress, risks and next steps
- Supporting budget, resource and forecast tracking
- Producing accurate project reports and maintaining project documentation
- Supporting project handover, customer sign-off and lessons learned
- Contributing ideas to improve project processes, tools and ways of working
As Project Manager you must be/have:
You'll ideally have experience in a Project Manager or similar project delivery role, together with:
- A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile/Scrum
- An understanding of software development and the software development xsabvtc lifecycle
- Experience of Agile delivery methods such as Scrum
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to identify risks and issues early and turn them into practical actions
- Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- Experience using project management and Microsoft Office tools
- A good understanding of budgets, resources, timescales and project delivery
