We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a global market-leading organisation based in Banbury. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior Sales and Marketing leaders across the Retail and Online business, you'll use financial insight to support commercial decision-making, drive profitability and influence business performance.

This is a genuine Business Partner role for someone who is already comfortable operating as a trusted commercial adviser. You'll need the confidence and credibility to challenge senior stakeholders constructively, interpret complex data and trends, and turn financial information into clear recommendations that help shape business decisions.

The Role

  • Partner closely with Retail, Online and Marketing Directors, building trusted relationships and providing meaningful commercial challenge.
  • Analyse monthly financial performance across sales, margin, operating results and profitability, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Review channel, sales and Key Account performance, using data to identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Analyse sales, open orders, pricing and margin performance and recommend practical improvements.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activity across Retail, Online and Marketing, challenging assumptions and providing insightful commentary.
  • Influence business decisions by interpreting financial information and providing actionable recommendations rather than simply reporting the numbers.
  • Support business cases and investment decisions, including reviewing performance against expected returns.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and help drive appropriate actions.
  • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across the business.
  • Help continue the evolution of Finance from transactional reporting towards genuine commercial partnership and decision support.

What We're Looking For

  • At least five years' experience operating in a genuine Finance Business Partner capacity.
  • Strong commercial finance experience, ideally partnering Sales, Retail, Online or other commercially focused teams.
  • Proven experience working with senior stakeholders, with the confidence to comfortably challenge and influence at Director level.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to identify trends, understand what's driving performance and turn data into meaningful commercial recommendations.
  • Experience analysing sales, margin, pricing, profitability and other commercial performance measures.
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience, including challenging assumptions and influencing business plans.
  • A naturally curious, commercially minded approach and the confidence to ask questions rather than simply accept the numbers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to become a credible and trusted adviser.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience with SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI or similar reporting and analytical tools would be advantageous.
  • A relevant finance qualification such as CIMA or ACCA would be advantageous.

What's in it for You?

  • Competitive Salary + up to 10% Bonus + Profit Share.
  • Hybrid Working.
  • Annual performance-related bonus.
  • Profit share scheme.
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday, with the option to purchase additional holiday.
  • Enhanced pension.
  • Private healthcare and wellbeing benefits.
  • Life assurance.
  • Employee discounts.
