With the option to join on an employed or self-employed basis, this is a flexible opportunity that can be shaped around the right individual. For someone looking to develop further, there is also a supported pathway towards becoming a Financial Adviser within the St. James's Place Partnership. About The role You'll provide professional, compliant and client-focused mortgage and protection advice, building trusted, long-term relationships and managing cases from initial enquiry through to completion and beyond. Key responsibilities will include: Providing mortgage and protection advice tailored to individual client needs Completing fact-finds, affordability assessments and appropriate product research Managing mortgage and protection applications through to completion Maintaining accurate client records and compliant file notes Liaising with lenders, providers, solicitors, estate agents and other professionals Keeping up to date with lender criteria, product developments and regulatory requirements Building strong client relationships and developing repeat and referral business Managing your own diary, workload and pipeline About you As the Mortgage & Protection Adviser, you'll need: CeMAP 1, 2 and 3, Cert CII (MP), or an equivalent recognised mortgage qualification Experience providing regulated mortgage advice Experience providing protection advice alongside mortgage recommendations A sound understanding of mortgage products, lender criteria and regulatory environment Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills The confidence to work independently while contributing to the wider team Full right to work in the UK Suitable professional references that can be contacted and verified Experience managing an existing client
