As an Assembly Technician for Intercom and Access Control product ranges, you will be involved in a huge variety of day-to-day tasks, including:
- Assembling, configuring and testing door entry access control systems to ensure they are ready to be installed on site.
- Preparing products into demonstration and display models.
- Picking and packing finished goods into kits for distribution to our customers.
The role requires previous experience of working in a technical environment and performing assembly and end-of-line testing on electro-mechanical products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Returns and repairs – assessing returned items, confirming faults through testing, conducting repairs.
- New System Preparation – Picking components, wiring, ISO9001 compliance, packing and shipping.
- Assembly – Creating kits, cable looms, preparing products for dispatch.
- Product Configuration – Configuration of systems, maintaining ready configured competent levels.
- Training – Assisting in product familiarisation, building work instructions, instruction manuals, creating training equipment.
Experience in assembling electro-mechanical products, using test and configuration equipment (cloud based) and test meters, and knowledge of LAN and Networking Hardware is essential.
