Our client is a leading global investment bank with a strong franchise across Equities and Prime Services. As part of the continued growth of its Institutional Equities platform, the firm is seeking to appoint an experienced Institutional Equity Sales Professional at Senior Associate or Vice President level. Based in London, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with UK institutional clients and hedge funds across North American and European equity markets, working closely with trading, financing and capital markets teams to deliver a comprehensive equities and prime services offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage institutional client relationships across hedge funds, asset managers and other financial institutions, acting as a trusted partner and primary point of contact for equities and prime brokerage solutions.
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities and expanding wallet share with existing clients across North American and European equities.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders, including Equity Sales Trading, Prime Brokerage, Equity Finance, Delta One, Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives and Capital Markets teams, to deliver integrated solutions tailored to client needs.
- Originate and execute strategic client opportunities across cash equities, financing, securities lending, synthetic products and broader equities solutions, ensuring competitive and commercially attractive outcomes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics and client activity, providing insight into trends across equity markets and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance client engagement and revenue generation.
- Operate within the firms risk, regulatory and compliance framework, ensuring high standards of governance while delivering exceptional service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Key Requirements
- 5–10 years experience within Institutional Equity Sales, Prime Brokerage Sales, Equity Finance, Delta One Sales or a related institutional equities role.
- Demonstrable knowledge of North American and European equity markets, with experience servicing hedge funds, asset managers and other financial institutions.
- Strong relationship management and business development capabilities, with a track record of originating opportunities and growing institutional client revenues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across sales, trading and product teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercially minded, highly motivated and collaborative, with the ability to operate independently while contributing to broader franchise growth.
