Required for September 2026, Acland Burghley School is looking to appoint a well-qualified teacher of Science from September 2026 to join our friendly and successful faculty team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a strong classroom teacher to work in a thriving inner-city comprehensive which has inclusion at its core.

We have an experienced and committed team of teachers. Science is a popular choice for post-16 students. Our dynamic faculty offers a full range of courses from KS3‑5, including A levels in Biology and Chemistry as well as Level 3 vocational offers in Applied Science and Medical Science. We have excellent facilities including two technicians.

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning in Science, and will demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring that every child achieves the highest possible academic standards. The role involves teaching at A Level and supporting students in KS3‑5 in wider aspects of their personal and academic development. This post would be suitable for a well-qualified ECT.

Situated close to Hampstead Heath in the heart of North London, Acland Burghley is a mixed, inclusive, community comprehensive school that enjoys high levels of parental support and a close collaborative relationship with other local schools. We are part of the popular and highly successful LaSWAP post‑16 consortium with Parliament Hill, La Sainte Union and William Ellis Schools, and a founder member of Camden Learning.

In 2020, we entered into a long‑term residency agreement with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, who now have their offices and rehearsals on our site.
