We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated classroom practitioner with a proven record of raising attainment to join Regent High School as a Teacher of Design and Technology. The position is on a permanent basis, working 0.6 FTE (approximately three days a week).
Responsibilities
- Deliver the AQA GCSE Design and Technology curriculum.
- Teach 2D Design and other CAD software confidently.
- Competently use machinery, equipment and workshop tools.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of materials, design and manufacturing processes.
- Provide excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 Design and Technology.
- Teach Food Preparation and Nutrition at KS3 and KS4.
- Show enthusiasm for supporting a dynamic, successful and supportive team and deliver high standards of teaching to raise attainment at all levels.
- Commit to motivating young people.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to raise attainment in a classroom setting.
- Experience in using CAD software and workshop machinery.
- Strong knowledge of a range of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of and experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Design and Technology.
- Willingness and ability to teach Food Preparation and Nutrition.
