MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, communal areas and other designated areas of the school to a high standard.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust floors and surfaces as required.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks and other frequently used areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, fittings and other surfaces as required.
- Use cleaning products, equipment and materials safely and in accordance with instructions.
- Report any damage, hazards, maintenance issues or shortages of cleaning supplies to the Headteacher.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored safely and securely after use.
- Work efficiently and manage time effectively to complete all allocated cleaning duties within the working hours.
- Contribute as a member of the school team to the ethos and environment of the school.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and follow the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
- Be flexible in undertaking other reasonable duties which correspond to the general character and level of responsibility of the post.
