Job Description
Robson House, a school for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and other complex needs, is seeking a Head of School with a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils with challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will spearhead the school’s advancement through a phase of evolution, which may encompass the expansion of the organisation. They will demonstrate an unwavering commitment to cultivating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that nurtures the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student, ensuring that each individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Core Purpose
The Headteacher will lead and manage the school’s daily operations, ensuring high-quality education and support for all pupils, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and other complex needs that can lead to challenging behaviours. They will collaborate closely with the Executive Headteacher and the Management Committee to execute strategic and operational plans that achieve the school’s vision. Additionally, the Headteacher will oversee a multi-agency service within the school, maintaining flexibility to support an evolving vision and strategy, including assisting mainstream schools in understanding the needs of children with SEMH and other complex needs. They will also oversee and lead the outreach service in partnership with the outreach leader.
