This is a role that is crucial in making our school work for everyone. Potential candidates may be data managers, network managers, communication leads, or work in operations in other sectors. What candidates will have in common will be an understanding of the crucial interface between people and systems, a readiness to problem solve, and an ability to co-ordinate work in the background so that the day-to-day experiences of our students and staff feels simple and efficient.
The successful candidate will have oversight of our ICT strategy, support staff in maximising the impact of data (including attendance, behaviour and progress), and ensure our Management Information Systems are used to their greatest effect. They will work closely with specialists in the Independent Learning Centre and MRO, and help deliver consistent learning experiences for students by liaising with senior leaders on curriculum mechanics, including timetabling and rooming.
They will foster close relationships with external agencies and contribute to their leadership of a wide-ranging but interconnected brief, raising standards through whole-school policy and targeted CPD. As Head of Information Systems, Data & Communications, they will also contribute to the wider strategic leadership of the school, reflecting their position as a skilled practitioner and expert communicator, developing a responsive service via the school’s website and social media channels.
The details of the post are:
- Contract status: Permanent
- Weeks per year: Term Time plus two (which is 41 weeks a year)
- Days per week: Monday to Friday
- Hours per week: 35
- Shift pattern: 8.15am to 4.15pm, with 60 minutes unpaid break
- Grade: PO6
- Actual salary: £50,587 to £53,401 (with additional uplifts for long service)
