Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We are home to the most important conversations happening today and we are making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role within the temporary accommodation (TA) service, where you will be responsible for providing an enhanced, dedicated and proactive service for households in TA as the Council seeks to reverse the growing numbers of people living in temporary accommodation. The role is an integral part of transforming how we work with people in TA and is key in ensuring households are able to move on smoothly and successfully to suitable and stable homes, reducing the length of time our residents spend in temporary accommodation and the overall number of households in TA.
You will be responsible for delivering a resident focused supportive service to our homeless households residing in TA. You will proactively explore and secure alternative housing options for residents, supporting them into more stable and settled homes - ensuring they are ready for such move-on; whilst also relieving the significant pressure that TA is placing on council budgets.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who share our ambition to make Camden the best place to live and work. You will have a strong commitment to providing a relational service, with the best outcomes for residents at the heart of your work. You will bring experience in housing or property management, as well as a deep understanding of the Housing Act 1996, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment. Proactive and solution-focused, you will act swiftly to address issues and ensure that services are accessible, transparent, and responsive to the diverse needs of residents. Above all, you will have a caring approach, valuing collaboration and inclusivity, and working with the team to ensure that no one is left behind.
We are passionate about building a better Camden, and our housing services are at the heart of that mission.
