What You'll Be Doing

The postholder will lead NLWA's Corporate Services function, shaping and delivering strategic plans that support organisational objectives. Acting as the primary source of HR expertise, you will provide advice on employment matters - including sickness absence, reorganisations, performance management and reward - ensuring staff and managers understand Camden-aligned policies and processes.

You will manage monthly reporting using the Oracle HR system, covering workforce data, vacancies and casework. A key part of the role is supporting managers through the full recruitment lifecycle, acting as the main liaison with Camden to ensure approvals and processes run smoothly. You will also contribute to developing a seamless employee lifecycle approach, from onboarding through to exit.

The role involves supporting senior leaders in the design and implementation of new HR initiatives such as performance management frameworks, mandatory learning, anti-racism programmes and induction processes. You will work closely with managers to strengthen regular 1:1s and identify learning and development needs, engaging with Camden specialists and external partners to deliver high-quality development opportunities.

In partnership with senior leaders, you will help embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across NLWA, identifying gaps, driving improvements and ensuring all staff meet statutory training requirements while fostering a genuinely inclusive workplace.

All About You

You are an experienced HR Business Manager with strong employment law knowledge, ideally supported by a CIPD qualification. Collaborative and approachable, you work confidently with colleagues across the organisation and ensure HR processes run smoothly.

You bring strong analytical skills, are comfortable working with data and HR systems, and can quickly understand public-sector employment practices, including Camden's terms and conditions.

Organised and proactive, you can plan and deliver to deadlines, communicating clearly and influencing others to achieve positive outcomes. You are customer-focused, open to new ideas and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

You have experience managing complex employee relations cases - such as absence, capability, grievance, probation and tribunal matters - and can act as the HR lead on organisational change, including restructures, redundancy and TUPE, ensuring compliance with agreed procedures.

Working for NLWA
