We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated qualified Playworker to join our friendly Out of School Care team on a part-time, permanent basis.
Location: Cambuslang / Rutherglen. Living locally would be an advantage, although it is not essential if you are willing to travel.
Hours
Initially offered on a zero-hours contract. A permanent contracted position may be available following a successful probation period. Approximately 10β16 hours per week will be available for the right candidate.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
Essential Requirements
- Applicants must hold an SVQ Level 3 qualification, or
- Hold an SVQ Level 2 and be actively working towards SVQ Level 3.
Desirable Qualifications
- Current First Aid certificate
- Infection Control certificate
- Food Hygiene certificate
A good understanding of current Out of School Care guidance and best practice is also desirable, including:
- Out to Play
- Playwork Principles
- Play Strategy
- GIRFEC
- Other relevant Scottish childcare guidance
