Locum Practice Nurse – required for cover
We are looking for a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to provide locum cover for a short period of time from the 27 th July 2026 to the 14 th August 2026 (possibility of extending)
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing routine nursing care, including wound care and dressings
- Administering vaccinations and immunisations.
- Carrying out cervical screening and health promotion activities.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
- Contributing to infection prevention and control and ensuring safe clinical practice.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience working in primary care or a general practice setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
- Chronic disease management qualifications or experience.
- Cervical cytology accreditation.
- Immunisation and vaccination training.
- Experience using GP clinical systems – SystmOne).
