We are currently in a high growth phase for our EdTech product, CambriLearn, which has both local and international customers. The Business Developer will focus on finding partners and resellers for our online platform. The role is end-to-end in that the candidate will need to hunt and prospect for leads and do all of the work up until the deal is closed.

Education: Any tertiary education

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years' experience in sales
  • Experience selling a SaaS product is advantageous
  • Experience hunting and prospecting
  • Experience in education is advantageous
  • Experience selling in international markets is advantageous
  • Experience in Cambridge curriculum and education is advantageous

Key Accountabilities:

This role will report directly into the Sales Ops Manager and will be accountable for achieving sales targets linked to the B2B and B2C environment. The role entails:

  • Understanding the product that we sell and the different markets that we sell to. In this regard, the candidate will need to identify an audience that they believe they can sell to and will need to understand the different channels in which they can access the target market.
  • Hunting and prospecting leads using any sources available, from personal networks and contacts to LinkedIn and other avenues.
  • Making contact with leads that come in through our marketing initiatives and being able to sell the value of our products to these leads.
  • Managing the entire sales process from once the lead comes in, until the deal is closed.
  • Making contact with your own generated leads (hunting) and being able to sell the value of our products to them.
  • Ensuring that all negotiations and opportunities are commercially viable for the business.
  • Running webinars and demos to illustrate our platform and the value it provides.
  • All sales work must be tracked on Sales Force.
  • The candidate will be working as part of a larger sales team.
  • The role will be accountable for delivering on set revenue targets, user targets, international sales targets, client retention and other key metrics for the role.

Basic Salary: R29,000 per month (+ Uncapped Commission)
