Overview

As our new Transport Programme Manager, you\'ll lead the delivery of major transport projects that shape how people connect, travel, and thrive. From the A10 and A47 upgrades to Cambridge South station and Ely area rail improvements, this is your chance to take the wheel on projects that will define our region\'s growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee an ambitious transport and infrastructure programme from concept to completion.
  • Ensure delivery of key milestones - on time, within budget, and with impact.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and governance across multiple high-profile projects.
  • Engage confidently with political leaders, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
  • Represent the Combined Authority at local, regional, and national levels.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional qualifications like IEng, CEng, TPP, or APM (or working towards).
  • Proven experience managing large, complex transport projects - ideally across both road and rail.
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder, and programme assurance skills.
  • A forward-thinking, politically aware mindset and the ability to deliver under pressure.
  • This role does not offer visa sponsorship. You must have an existing and valid right to work in the UK at the time of application.
