This is an exciting opportunity for an Educational Psychologist to join the Cambridge Centre for Paediatric Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (CCPNR). Fixed term contract for months. The post offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to this pioneering service, offering specialist holistic neuropsychological rehabilitation to children and adolescents with acquired brain injury, referred from across the East of England. The post holder will be a qualified Educational Psychologist with expertise in assessment and intervention with children and young people with acquired brain injury.
The key role is to ensure the development of high quality, brain injury related Educational Psychology provision and intervention within the CCPNR. As a member of a strong interdisciplinary service, you will be a senior member of the team with the skills and specialist knowledge to support the needs of children and young people with non-progressive acquired brain injury. Their needs may be complex with a range of interacting cognitive, social, emotional and physical difficulties.
Main duties of the job
This post is part of the interdisciplinary service commitment to deliver Rehabilitation Packages to children and young people and their families, living with the consequences of acquired brain injury. The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of children/young people with acquired brain injury who require neuropsychological assessment and/or rehabilitation. Their needs will be complex in nature requiring specialist skills to support their access to education.
The post holder will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to client focused and evidence-based practice in all areas of his/her work. They will also be expected to work as an interdisciplinary team member taking on a co-ordinating role with clients as required.
