To provide Consultant input to the community eating disorder mental health team and into the A-EDIT service (alternative to admission eating disorder team). To observe local and national employment directives with regard to managed medical personnel and ensure adherence to appropriate NHS and Trust policies.
Main duties of the job:
- This post is providing consultant clinical leadership and patient care in our community eating disorder service based at ward S outpatients at Addenbrooke’s hospital. Alongside a team consisting of two fellow consultant psychiatrists, a consultant psychologist, GPs responsible for medical monitoring, and a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, mental health practitioners, nurses, psychological therapists, a dietitian, and health care assistants, you will provide assessment and treatment for all patients in your area. Consultants are expected to form close working relationships with other CPFT services, key contacts in primary care, and offer consultation to liaison psychiatry and acute services. Supervision of junior staff and peer supervision of GPs is part of the role.
- This post is providing consultant clinical leadership and patient care in our alternative to admission service (A-EDIT). The postholder will work with a team consisting of a principal psychologist, a therapist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, dietitian, nurses, support workers, and peer support workers. You will provide assessment and treatment for regional patients under the care of the A-EDIT team.
