Clare Lodge is a national provider of secure accommodation "welfare" only placements and the only all female unit in England. The home is governed by Peterborough City Council. CPFT provides an in-reach health service that includes caring for young people's physical and emotional wellbeing. The team also uses the integrated framework for secure care and works in a collaborative way with PCC to support a therapeutic environment. We are a friendly, passionate, and patient-focused team who are dedicated to working alongside our Local authority partners to improve both health and social outcomes and deliver the best possible care.

Clare Lodge In Reach Health Team provides:

  • Trauma informed delivery of health care.
  • Comprehensive holistic health assessment and intervention including mental health, neurodevelopmental, speech and language, sexual health, and physical health.
  • Direct therapeutic interventions.
  • Drug and alcohol advice.
  • Outreach service.
  • Named health professional role and opportunity to liaise with national professional network.

  • Integrated working alongside Clare Lodge residential and education teams.

Main duties of the job:

This role requires a HCPC / RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist with knowledge and experience working with Children and Young people with SEMH needs. The post holder will be required to use their specialist clinical skills in the planning, development, and evaluation of the trauma informed pathways, including contributing to defined projects as delegated by the Clinical Lead or Service manager. This involves supporting the local team in effective and equitable clinical decision making, ensuring that a good quality service SALT is delivered and maintained within the pathway. The post holder will be required to use their specialist clinical skills to develop and provide a range of training packages relating to supporting the communication needs of service users, to equip support staff and others with the specialist communication skills required to work with them.
