Transport Programme Manager
We are on a mission to make life better, healthier and fairer for everyone across our region – transport is at the heart of it. As our new Transport Programme Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of major transport projects that shape how people connect, travel and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ambitious transport and infrastructure programmes from concept to completion.
- Deliver key milestones on time, within budget, and with impact.
- Manage risks, dependencies and governance across multiple high‑profile projects.
- Engage confidently with political leaders, stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Represent the Combined Authority at local, regional and national level.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualifications such as IEng, CEng, TPP or APM (or working toward).
- Proven experience managing large, complex transport projects, ideally across both road and rail.
- Excellent organisational, stakeholder and programme assurance skills.
- Forward‑thinking, politically aware mindset and ability to deliver under pressure.
- Degree‑level education (or equivalent experience).
