Weâre now looking for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join our dynamic and expanding Legal & Governance team. With upcoming developments including the creation of a Mayoral Corporation Development, spatial planning initiatives, and enhanced powers under the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill, your expertise will be central to our evolution.
This is more than a legal role. Youâll be at the heart of delivering our Local Growth Plan and supporting the Mayorâs ambition to make the CPCA area the UKâs fastest-growing local economy outside London. As part of the Legal & Governance directorate, youâll play a key role in ensuring robust governance and delivering high-quality legal advice. Youâll work collaboratively across Legal, Procurement, and Governance teams, as well as with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Advising on a wide range of contracts and grant funding agreements
- Supporting the creation and operation of special purpose vehicles and subsidiary companies
- Providing legal advice to elected members, including attendance at committee meetings
