Network Development Planner (Fares & Ticketing) role at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority. We’re recruiting a Network Development Planner (Fares & Ticketing) to take the lead on improving, simplifying, and modernising how passengers pay for bus travel across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. With over 20 million bus journeys a year in our region, this is a unique opportunity to transform ticketing products and fare policies, making bus travel more affordable, seamless, and accessible for all. You’ll manage fare policy, design new products, and deliver innovations in ticketing technology – all while ensuring great value for passengers and operators alike.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and oversee programmes to improve fares and ticketing options for passengers
  • Set fare structures and policies for contracted services, with future expansion to franchised services
  • Manage contracts and budgets (including external grant funding) to ensure effective delivery
  • Introduce and maintain innovative ticketing products, keeping pace with technology and passenger needs
  • Work collaboratively with councils, developers, suppliers, and operators to deliver a better passenger experience
  • Report programme milestones and progress to committees and senior stakeholders

What You’ll Bring / Requirements

  • Experience delivering fares/ticketing strategies or improving customer experience in a public transport environment
