About the role
As our Programme Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of projects and programmes across the Combined Authority. Working alongside Programme and Project Managers, you'll help ensure projects are well planned, effectively governed, delivered on time, and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your programme management experience while contributing to projects that make a real difference for our communities.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinating programme and project activities across multiple workstreams
- Supporting project reporting and maintaining accurate management information
- Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Legal and Procurement
- Organising meetings, workshops and governance boards, including agendas and minutes
- Carrying out project health checks and ensuring governance standards are met
- Maintaining project plans, schedules and project controls
- Supporting Programme and Project Managers with research and project delivery
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- A great communicator who builds strong working relationships
- Detail-focused with excellent organisational skills
- Able to work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Proactive, adaptable and keen to continuously improve processes
- Confident using Microsoft Office, with project management experience being an advantage
Desirable experience:
- Experience coordinating projects or programmes
- Knowledge of project governance and reporting
- PRINCE2, APM or similar project management qualification (desirable, not essential)
