We are currently looking for a People Partner to join our welcoming, modern, and progressive fire and rescue service.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional looking for something different. You will be part of our fun, forward-thinking Fire and Rescue Service, working with our dynamic front-line colleagues, support teams, and the community.
You will join our enthusiastic, hardworking, small, and supportive People Partner team, reporting to the People Partner Manager. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about HR/people practice, demonstrating a commitment and a positive approach to work.
You will work alongside two other People Partners, each supporting a designated geographical area of the County (North, Central & South Cambridgeshire). The available vacancy will cover the Central or the South of Cambridgeshire, partnering with leaders to help deliver a people-focused, professional HR service by coaching, advising, and supporting managers at all levels in HR practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Central or South of Cambridgeshire (including the Huntingdon or Cambridge areas).
- Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their people management and leadership skills.
- Build effective and credible working relationships with managers, employees, and representative bodies.
- Collaborate with colleagues from the wider People Group and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- CIPD qualification at Level 5 or actively working towards, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a HR partnering role.
- Natural ability to coach, advise, and support managers at all levels.
- Experience in developing creative and proactive HR solutions with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to challenge individuals professionally to improve leadership competence and confidence.
- Experience supporting complex ER cases autonomously.
- Strong commitment to continuing professional development.
- Ability to liaise professionally with people at all levels and develop constructive working relationships.
