Overview
The Enhanced Response Service is a fast-paced service providing support to service users who trigger their telecare alarm and also working alongside the ambulance service in responding to non-injured falls. We work to promote independence and sign post service users to Partnership teams to provide care and support in a person-centred way. The post will require flexible working, including regular morning, evening and weekend shifts, as well as the ability and willingness to travel across the team geographical area.

What will you be doing?
Our ERS Support Workers assist with the provision of all personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, catheter care, feeding, meal preparation, medication and others. We respond to falls and telecare alerts to provide reassurance and practical assistance in co-ordination with other services, such as Fire and Rescue and Ambulance.
As part of the team you will apply learning from adult protection, diversity and mental capacity act training, and you will be responsible for recognising and reporting any situations, incidents or concerns in line with Council Policy.
You will be required to liaise effectively within the team and with other agencies e.g. assistive technology or health colleagues, to ensure the service is delivered effectively. You will also be required to complete both written and electronic documentation regarding our service userโs care in accordance with CCC policy.
About you
You will need to have previous experience of working within a care environment, preferably within Adult social care and you will have an NVQ Level 2 Care qualification or equivalent and a willingness to work towards Level 3.
You will be able to evidence good standard of general education including basic literacy and numeracy skills and will have good IT skills in order to be able to update electronic data and case records.
The role involves travel across Cambridgeshire, using CCC pool vehicles which are manual drive so you will need to have a full driving licence applicable to manual vehicles.
The posts we have available are for 14.75 hours and 18 hours per week โ based at Hereward Hall, March.
The hours advertised are for a set rota which includes morning, evening and weekend shifts and working every other weekend and we are therefore unable to accommodate specific days of availability. Please see attached shift patterns.
The induction training is covered in your first 4 weeks of employment and will include training days with your Line Manager and shadowing members of the ERS team.
