We are looking for a NCA Part 8 Accredited Financial Investigator, or an Accredited Financial Intelligence Officer willing to work towards further accreditation, to join the Op Costello Team. The role focuses on developing financial intelligence to support operations targeting Organised Crime Groups (OCGs) and securing evidential material through production and disclosure orders under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Salary for part‑time positions is pro‑rata based on the hours worked per annum.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver financial intelligence to support investigations targeting OCGs.
- Secure evidential material through the use of production and disclosure orders under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
- Work closely with the ERSOU Proceeds of Crime Unit (POCU) to identify, restrain, and confiscate criminal assets.
- Identify and progress lines of financial enquiry independently, and accurately recommend actions to the Officer in the Case (OIC) or Detective Sergeant (DS).
- Collaborate with partner intelligence units to disrupt and dismantle OCGs.
Qualifications
- Current NCA Part 8 Accredited Financial Investigator, or Accredited Financial Intelligence Officer willing to pursue further accreditation.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with a focus on financial crime.
- Experience with the Proceeds of Crime Act and related evidence production.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate professional curiosity.
