Bedfordshire Police – Performance Researcher, Permanent Full Time, ERSOU - CTP, Stevenage, Scale 6 (Salary £33,603 – £37,000)

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity for a permanent Performance Researcher within the ERSOU Counter Terrorism Policing Analysis and Research team.

The role is primarily office based with limited agile working.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogate databases and systems to extract relevant data to inform regional performance understanding.
  • Liaise with customers to define research requirements and clarify understanding.
  • Collect and collate data in line with customer requirements.
  • Add value by theming information and drawing links between datasets.
  • Coordinate national performance returns for the region, meeting deadlines for each department.
  • Monitor data quality and provide feedback to improve regional returns.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Strong numerical skills with confidence interpreting percentages, ratios, and averages.
  • Ability to interrogate data from multiple systems under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work with Windows software including Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible, self‑motivated approach to work.
  • Nice to Haves
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Familiarity with customised databases and tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Current SC or DV vetting.
