Responsibilities
- Patrol by foot in local areas as part of Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
- Talk with and be a reassuring presence to members of the public to help fight crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Attend public and partnership meetings and build stronger relationships within the communities served.
- Contribute to policing activities as a PCSO in line with operational requirements, including working some evenings and weekends and across various locations in the county.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Eligible to apply with a full UK driving licence at the point of applying.
- At least 3 years residency in the UK.
- Role involves shift work; must be able to work evenings and weekends across multiple locations.
- Eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
Salary & Benefits
- Starting salary £26,106 for full-time (37 hours per week). Salary with shift allowance can increase to a maximum of £28,653 based on length of service and performance-related pay.
- Minimum 178 hours of annual leave (24 days), increasing to up to 222 hours (30 days) plus eight public holidays. Leave entitlement confirmed on start.
- LGPS contributory pension with employer contributions.
