Overview

Beds, Cambs and Herts Constabularies Information Management (IM) is a collaborated BCH department incorporating various business areas within Organisational Support. One of the business areas within IM is the Records, Review and Rectification (RRT) team. We are now recruiting for a Records Review and Rectification Practitioner to coordinate and manage all forms of electronic and physical records generated by Beds/Cambs/Herts staff and officers.

Responsibilities

  • Review deletion and rectification requests from members of the public and ACRO for national and local records.
  • Create records on a digital archiving system.
  • Interrogate current and legacy systems to review existing records in line with national guidelines.
  • Manage enquiries from police staff, officers and external third parties.
  • Provide instruction to all police and non-police personnel in the use of the force records management database.
  • Contribute to achieving the BCH vision, purpose and values.
  • Travel within Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire or externally for operational, training, or general duty requirements.
  • Occasional work in a warehouse environment, undertaking manual handling tasks.

Post details

We have 2 full-time posts of 37 hours per week available, both based at Luton. Our core hours are 8am – 4pm, Monday-Friday. The role is office-based with the opportunity to work agilely once the probationary period has been successfully passed and in agreement with your line manager and with a minimum of 40% office attendance. You will be required to travel to Godmanchester for training during your probationary period.
