About the Role

Cambridgeshire Constabulary Police Staff Maternity Leave Cover – Full Time – Information Management – Bedford Borough Hall, Chord Park, Letchworth. Salary Scale 5 (Β£30,333).

The Information Management Department (IMD) is a collaborative department within Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Constabulary (BCH) incorporating various business areas with Organisational Support.

As a PNC and Business Services Specialist, the successful candidate will update and interrogate the Police National Computer (PNC) and other national and BCH systems to assist in the reduction and prevention of crime and safeguarding.

The role involves investigative searches of the PNC and other databases, and additional business services as required.

The post holder will help BCH achieve the PNC Code of Practice Standards in all areas of timeliness and accuracy.

Work Pattern

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a. m. – 5:00 p. m. with a pattern of two weeks of 8:00 a. m. – 4:00 p. m. followed by one week of 9:00 a. m. – 5:00 p. m.

  • Internal applicants must have successfully completed their probationary period and may submit either a CV or an internal role summary form.
  • External applicants must upload a CV and provide a statement (≀ 500 words) addressing the minimum entry requirements in the role profile.
  • Vetting

All candidates will undergo the BCH Vetting Unit process.

A supervisor appraisal may be required if the applicant is transferring to another force, renewing vetting clearance, taking a role requiring MV clearance, or working in a role involving close contact with vulnerable individuals.
