About the Role
To provide legal services to the Chief Constable, Force and its officers and staff, supporting the Head of Legal Services and Force Solicitor. Responsibilities include managing casework, correspondence, supporting civil claims and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage enquiries, correspondence and casework.
- Maintain accurate records and support case management.
- Assist with instructing counsel, organising meetings and diary management.
- Provide advice, guidance and support in relation to civil claims.
- Compile and analyse data and reports.
- Monitor external providers to ensure quality and value for money.
- Review legal invoices and support budget monitoring.
- Provide general administrative support.
About You
- Organised, detail‐oriented, able to handle sensitive information, strong communication and IT skills, comfortable working independently under pressure.
Essential Requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Full valid driving licence preferable but not essential.

- Supports agile working, may require travel, subject to Management Vetting (MV).
- Knowledge of legal practice desirable; full training provided.
