Job Summary
Bedfordshire Police are looking to recruit 2 Facilities Support Officers to join a small team to assist with the maintenance and operation of Bedfordshire Police properties.
Responsibilities
- Perform day‑to‑day maintenance of facilities including car park repairs, lights, locks, doors, toilets, changing rooms, kitchen, grounds, courier and dispatch.
- Assist with building maintenance and services.
- Lift heavy goods and climb ladders as required.
- Operate plant and machinery safely.
- Use e‑mail and complete forms accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in building maintenance and/or building services.
- Ability to lift heavy goods and climb ladders.
- Ability to operate plant and machinery.
- Good keyboard skills with the ability to use e‑mail and complete forms accurately.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Working Conditions
Based at Police HQ in Kempston or Luton Police station.
Requires travel to alternative locations within the force and access to a vehicle.
Includes on‑call duties for out‑of‑hours on a rota basis one week in four, with additional pay.
