Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s Intelligence and Specialist Crime Department (ISCD) is recruiting for Intelligence Operatives (IO) to join the live desk supporting the organisation. ISCD provides tactical and strategic advantage by delivering accurate, reliable and timely intelligence to front‑line staff, supporting force priorities and issues of threat, risk and harm.
Responsibilities
- As an Intelligence Operative on the “Live Desk”, you will be at the centre of daily operational activity and responsible for a number of core intelligence tasks, including receiving, evaluating, researching and presenting information in support of operations, threats to life and organised crime groups.
- Identifying emerging problems and providing recommendations within the criminal environment.
This is a 24/7 full‑time position covering 365 days per year on a shift pattern, including bank holidays. Consequently, a 20% shift enhancement is applied to those working standard office hours.
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with an intelligence background or who have knowledge of intelligence within a policing, law‑enforcement or military context.
- Successful applicants will attend an interview where competency questions and Microsoft skills will be assessed.
