We’re seeking a skilled, motivated, and forward-thinking Technical Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture team within the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) ICT Department.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Principal Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions across a diverse portfolio of major change initiatives, from local digital transformation through to regional and national platforms.
- Develop target architecture and solution designs aligned to business and operational needs, balancing performance, scalability, usability and security.
- Work across complex, integrated technology landscapes, ensuring solutions are coherent, supportable and aligned to enterprise and national standards.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing guidance to delivery teams, SMEs, suppliers, and stakeholders, including initiatives outside formal Enterprise Architecture governance.
- Support the adoption of innovative and emerging technologies to enhance policing capability and efficiency.
- Operate with delegated authority to make solution-level architectural decisions, analysing technical constraints, resolving complex design challenges, and actively managing technical risk to ensure solutions are robust, supportable, and aligned to enterprise principles.
- Help ensure that technology delivers real operational value, improves resilience, and supports the critical services that keep our communities safe.
