This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team dedicated to the management of criminal cases from the police into the Criminal Justice partnership. As a Case Coordinator, you will have responsibility and oversight of higher profile cases, and support a small team of Case Administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Progress remand cases to the Remand Court, ensuring release of high risk offenders is considered by the Judiciary daily.
- Gather up-to-date information for remanded offenders applying for bail, enabling the Court to consider appropriate bail conditions.
- Allocate charge and bail cases across teams and into appropriate Court hearings, and process Postal Requisition cases efficiently.
- First line manager for a small team – manage training, development, workload, and enquiry management from Crown Prosecution Service.
- Handle enquiries from the Judiciary, prioritise responses.
- Refer victims and witnesses to appropriate Victim and Witness care units.
- Report to a Team Leader and contribute to the Criminal Justice partnership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Successful completion of probationary period for internal applicants.
- Relevant experience in criminal case management preferred.
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire.
- Compliance with vetting requirements (BCH Vetting Unit, 2025 National Guidelines).
