We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, highly motivated, and passionate nurse to join our multi-agency team. The role involves providing a seamless pathway for health and wellbeing in accordance with the Statutory Guidance for Promoting the Health and Wellbeing of Looked After Children (DH & DoE 2015).

Job Purpose

The Looked After Children Specialist Nurse will work within a multi-agency service to improve health outcomes for Children in Care, aiming to match the health and development standards of peers in the same area, in line with statutory guidance.

Job Summary

The post holder will collaborate with the Looked After Children health team, CCS health providers, the Designated Nurse for Children in Care, the Local Authority, Primary Care, and Education. The goal is to provide timely, quality assessments tailored to each child\’s needs, manage resources effectively, and ensure recommendations from the Health Action Plan are implemented.

Results are defined, but the methods to achieve them will be determined by the post holder, guided by policies, peers, and external sources.
